A transparent topaz amber swirl lead glass vase, mold-blown and pattern molded. Elongated lipped bucket shape; circular flared rim; vertical sides curve under to squat hollow bulbous base; body has swirling ribs; polished pontil. The vase is unmarked or the mark is obscured from normal use scratching on the bottom of the base, it has been noted this vase was often labeled with paper. The vase was manufactured sometime during the 1920 to 1929 time period during Frederick Carders (1863 - 1963) administration at Steuben Glass Works. A similar example of this model is part of the Corning Museum of Glass collection. The vase stands approximately 6 7/8 inches tall, the mouth is 6 3/4 inches wide and the base is 3 3/4 inches wide.
