Embossed decoration featuring royal or aristocratic couples and musicians dressed in Medieval attire. They stand under decorated ceilings, a dance ball or party scene
Intricate borders in relief, geometric at the bottom, Gothic style with devil's heads and birds at the top rim
All embossed details are hand painted in cobalt blue under glaze
There is a number 180 impressed on the bottom, for the pattern possibly
Circa late 19th century, Germany. Possibly Westerwald region
Measurements: Approx. 9.5" high x 7" across with the handle x 5.5" base diameter
Weighs about 4 lbs.
