Home Tableware & Barware | 19th C. Eapg Lace Edge Milk Glass Square Dinner Plates- Set of 6 ZZ39125
A scarce set of six, square shaped EAPG, lace edge milk glass dinner plates, circa late 19th century. The plates are made of a heavy, opaque white glass becoming more translucent at the edge. The mold has a running ‘S’ and dot border with fanned corners, and a deep, raised footing.
They work well alone, seated on chargers or mixed in with other patterned dinnerware. Surprisingly modern in feel.
Early American Pattern Glass dates from the late Victorian Era, 1885-1895. These plates are not to be confused with the later examples of milk glass reproduced during the mid-century.
8.5 in. Square Maker unknown, unmarked and having slight variations in the mold work. Excellent
