Home Tableware & Barware | Antique 8 Pocket Oyster Stand Leedsware Classical Creamware - LY21799
Availability: In Stock
For your consideration...Truly a spectacular piece, a rare find, and a great form. It is an Antique Leedsware Classical Creamware Oyster Display, by Hartley Greens Co. after a 19th century piece. We think it dates to the 1900's or 10's, . It features a raised, reticulated base and two graduated tiers of shell form bowls, four on each level; supported on the second level by Serpentine Style Supports, . It is topped by a classical figural Tulip form sauce bowl
Of beautiful cream glazed earthenware, the forms are beautifully molded and well articulated with great detail and it is a treasure for collectors of creamware. Impressed Leedsware mark on base….Superb
A substantial piece, it stands 11" high, and about 9" at the widest point. The oyster bowls graduate from 4" to 3.5" to 3" in diameter.
In superb condition with little sign of use or wear, free of discolor, chips or any other impairments
Very impressive and elegant
This would make a very cool and sophisticated cupcake stand!!
