Presented is a pair of vintage English transferware Crown Ducal A. G. R. blue plates in the pattern “Fair Oak”. The Prussian blue color rim is outlined in a brown pattern and the interior of the band is adorned with acorns. They would look fabulous hung on the wall or used in a table scape mixed with some of our other antique and vintage plates such as our brown and white Transferware. Please see our other listings.
Richardson & Co. Ltd. manufactured earthenware and their best known range was called Crown Ducal.The name Crown Ducal originated in 1916 and was in business until 1960. It was used by A.G. Richardson and Co., Ltd., of Tunstall and Cobridge, England, on some pieces of their porcelain.
