The Harker Pottery Co., of East Liverpool, Ohio and later Chester, West Virginia, is commonly called the "Oldest Pottery in Ameria." It started in a log cabin in 1840 by Benjamin Harker, and remained on its original site for 91 years. In 1931 the plant moved across the river to Chester and took over the old Edwin M. Knowles Plant. The Meanette Glass Co. bought Harker in 1971 and closed it down in 1972.
Lovely courting couple adorned by wavy golden edges create the ‘Godey Prints’ pattern by Harker Pottery Co from the 1950-60's. The pattern is in the gadroon shape and 22 Kt Gold trimmed.
